Our Mission

The mission of this organization shall be:

A. To assert leadership in the field of governmental purchasing in the State of Minnesota.

B. To improve the standards, ethics and administration of governmental purchasing departments and agencies.

C. To promote effective centralized purchasing.

D. To exchange information on products, manufacturers, policies, procedures, and general information useful to purchasing personnel.

E. To develop and perfect standards, practices and specifications for use by its members.

F. To encourage and cooperate in the development of courses and subjects of purchasing management, purchasing and other subjects related to procurement functions in educational institutions.

G. To draft and/or take part in legislation affecting public purchasing.

H. AND...to provide education, certification, and technical assistance for those who spend taxpayers dollars.
